Boosh
Hi all, I'm currently not a Ford owner, but working on it!! I went to look at a '08 Mondeo 1.8 TDCI Zetec estate, with highish mileage. Car felt strong and tidy: all electrics and air-con working fine, clutch not slipping, gearbox very smooth, all good signs. However, I did notice some oil spill on bottom left of engine bay, right under the belt. I'm not sure whether that's just normal crud due to mileage or whether it's a sign of expensive repair on its way... Could anybody shed some light? Also, I did notice in the service booklet that the cam belt and water pump were changed 28,000 miles ago, but I thought that this engine had a chain, not a belt... Last thing, it was advertised as having parking sensors, but doesn't actually have any. Could anybody suggest a decent set of aftermarket ones? Thanks for taking the time to read this and helping me becoming the owner of what seems to be a cracking car, Boosh.
