Audio Fuse Blown

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Yesterday i was fitting my new dvd stereo on my focus SI. I just saw a small spark when trying to connect it, then i could not get the power anymore. I think my fuse is blown but i've tried checking for the fuse and i couldn't find it.

So can any1 please help in identifying the fuse so that i can replace it. I need to know which fuse is it linked to ? since there is specific audio fuse.

Thanx

the fuse cover should tell you which one it is. if not then check your manual. it maybe linked with say your cig lighter so check all the fueses but make sure you put the right amp fuse in. check the stereo itself as it may have a fuse on the back that is blown, this should be a visible fuse.

Probably also a good idea to disconnect the battery next time ;)

Although this doesn't apply here, make sure you have your radio code if replacing the same unit.

fuse 63 if memory serves correct?

bottom of fuseboard, closest to the floor when hanging, fourth fuse in (10 amp) but this is a fuse i recently changed on my cmax, so hopefully the same...

Fuse diagram links are at the bottom of my signature.
