Rear Discs 2010 Fiesta Mk7

Featured Replies

Hey,

I just bought a 2010 fiesta 1.4TDCi Mk7 and i wondered if you can change the rear drums to discs i noticed that the fiesta st has rear discs so i wondered if they would fit and change out without much difficulties if anyone knows any rear disc conversions or has done a conversion give me a shout :).

Thanks in advance.

Have a look at this youtube clip shows a full brake conversion on a 2011 fiesta.

They make it look so easy.

You'd get better braking spending the money on uprating the front brakes & overhauling your suspension.

If i was gonna change the rear brakes i would do the fronts aswell but i dont wanna mess around with the car too much so suspension is a no go!

Hi, you'd gain nothing, aside from the aesthetics and end up with dirty wheels...

No offence but that's a load of shi!e or car compnays would still put drums on all 4 corners of their cars but they dont because discs have better cooling which reduces brake fade & brake wear and they also work better in the wet.

I know people with the 155PS petrol Mountune Fiesta and with updated discs and pads on the front it's ample. A 1.4TDCi just doesn't need them so it'd be a waste of money.

The way i drive it does the back end has got really bad somedays with brake fade so I'm gonna uprate the front and rear brakes fronts to bigger discs and put discs on the back and im gonna get the car chipped aswell which will increase performance so i will need them
