Having finally got around to blanking the valve. Have to say the car is running a lot smoother, not so much smoke out the back on start up, mpg has gone up to 50-52mpg (according to computer) so am well chuffed. Changed front discs and pads as well, so car is now going great again.

    good job! How long did it take you?

    I need some time to do mine on the CMAX, but I only tend to have a one hour slot a day (doing things in my lunch) And dont dare start it in case I rush and stuff it up!

    only took as long as it takes you to undo 2 bolts,squeeze the plate in and tighten the 2 bolts back up.does help if you have a ratchet spanner.

    Good to hear it! you would be amazed how many people were dubious about getting it done, now that more and more FOC members are having it done, they can experience the advantages for themselves
