Cigar Lighter Broken

Hi all,

I have recently bought a 2001 1.25 Ford Fiesta Ghia 16V but the cigar lighter doesn't work and the door ajar light stays on whenever the ignition or engine is turned on (I have checked all the doors).

Any ideas as to what might be causing this? Initially I thought it might be a blown fuse for the cigar lighter but that wouldn't explain the door ajar light being constantly on...

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    It will be the fuse for the cigar lighter guaranteed. Is your boot properly shut? (just checking) lol if it is you're looking at a fault with one of the door switches. Does your interior light switch off when the door open light is on?
