Driver's Side Window Scratches

Featured Replies

Hi, I spent about an hour this afternoon taking off my door cards, fitting new speakers and reassembling everything. I've just been out for a drive with the window down and I've come home to find there's vertical scratches on my driver's side window after putting it back up. Argh!

Now, this is only happening with the driver's side, and they're on the exterior so I'm assuming it's not a case of the new speakers catching the window. Any idea what I've possibly dislodged?

Check how deep the screws have been screwed in. They may have been put in too far as to scrape the window. Failing that take the door card off and see what will correlate to where the scratches are. If it is the speakers, try shorts screws.

Thing is, the scratches are on the OUTSIDE of the window, so it can't be anything on the speaker side.
