Has anyone else bought the superchips bluefin for the fiesta ST and having problems with it ??

What problems are you having?

Problems im having is it hesitates to give ya the power when you put your foot down,then all of a sudden it kicks in.its not smooth like it was before the bluefin. I am seriously thinking of putting the original prog back in.

Hi, might be a good idea to contact Superchips first. However you could always perform a re-flash just to see if it didn't come across fully..

wouldnt it of said when i plugged the bluefin that it had not flashed correctly ?

Possibly, so have you contacted Superchips yet, I'd be on the phone to them straight away if I was you instead of looking for answers here..

i have contacted them! And basically got told they have tested it on all there ST's and not had a problem what so ever.Just thought with this being a Ford Forum,someone else might be having the same issue

Thanks for this useful post, Im getting an ST at the end of the month so please keep us updated as I would like to purchase the bluefin too but will wait to see if you can resolve your problems first. It says you gain 38BHP and 54ft/lb torque so well worth it if you can get it up and running. Do keep us informed. Good Luck.

I was considering getting it, but thought it's a bit pointless for my needs. Curve's seem fine, so maybe it's an issue either with your car or the flash? Restore to stock and then reflash it?

Try disconnecting the battery for 20-30 minutes to reset the ECU and give the car a good run at various road speeds so your driving style is relearned.

I have this issue!

I put the bluefin on my ST-2 & am having this issue.

If I put my foot hard down there is like a lag or delay. I think I will flash back now & go for a test drive.

UPDATE

When I plugged the Bluefin back it it confirmed that their remap was installed. I have now flashed it back to the default map & took it for a short drive. No lag delay when I put my foot down. Going to return it within the 7 days for a refund. A bit disappointing tbh :(

So maybe they have sorted it out cos they were sick of me on the phone every day lol

Thanks for the update. How did they get the remap to you? Did you just have to reconnect the bluefin to your PC?

I had to put the original prog back in, then plug the bluefin into the pc for it to send a updated remap. Maybe if you plug yours there could well be a new remap waiting.. But before doing that i would advise you to plug it into the car first and restore to the original setting

And all you guys that have emailed them! its a total waste of time,as they never seem to get back to you if ya did it via email. Best bet to give them a call and tell them the problem, then they can give you the updated remap asap

I'll have to contact them directly as it says remap has already be installed

i know they have to open the port there end for you to download, but yer deffo give them a ring on monday and your get a text pretty much straight away after talking to them, telling you the repmap is ready for you to get.. Let me know how ya get on

Thanks for keeping us updated with your progress, few questions, what exhaust did you fit? fit it yourself? Any modifications to the car required, welding etc, or just unbolt stock and rebolt on new one? louder?

Also what process should I go through when buying my bluefin? order it from the site? do I bother using it as it comes or just get straight on to them? how did you get the "live map"? will they be putting this fixed map onto their bluefin for ST customers as standard now?

Haven't got a printout as said printing apparatus decided hey, lets not work today. Getting it in the post Monday/Tuesday :P

I went with a custom job, cost me the cost of parts due to knowing the chap very well. Gone from the turbo, and ditched the cat to a sport job. It's not loads louder and by no means a pain when cruising, but giving it some has it quite loud. It was a case unbolting, welding the new exhaust, re-bolting. Miltek through Pumaspeed have something coming soon I believe.

I didn't get it from Superchips, I took it to the chap who mapped the track car for the charity I'm involved with but from experience, ring Superchips up to order to get your Bluefin, if you have a chat and tell them about what modifications you have then they should be able to do something for you. Also nag them a good deal, half the time they can give you more power but choose not too, as they have maps for the Police too in some cases.
