hi guys whilst cleaning my car yesterday, i had the wheels off to just do a visual check etc and noticed this on the back of the wheel is this normal

ya can see from the pic that its been cut between each wheel nut hole



mine has it too to prevent corrosion of the alloys i believe the cuts are meant to help water drain away from inside the wheel where it bolts to the hub thats my theory i can see no other point to them not that it works they corrode terribly

On all alloys I've ever saw,

Also helps to break the bond in the event of rim sticking to hub due to lack of copper Greece on the face of the hub
