hey all. my cousins fiesta died 3 days ago. The bottom end is banging its brains out and she has asked me to help out. First off its a 2002 mk 5 fiesta 1.25 zetec se black. I been trying to source a engine for her but they all seem miles away from me or well overpriced for her price range. Is it possible to put a older/newer version of the 1.25 engine into her car without much problems? even maybe go for a 1.4? been told the 1.4 is exactly same engine but i never seen one before so advice here would be great.

I think all black tops are roughly the same size the engine mount bracket changes slightly between the mk4, 5 and 6 however you can just retain the mounts from your broken engine . I also believe that it's the same gearbox so no power problems there either.
