I have a friend who is building a Robin (Caterham clone) with the 2.0 Sierra engine, to which he has fitted a carburetter. Is there a points-type distributor available for this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it is a 2.0 litre Pinto Engine I would have thought that you could use a Points distributor on it, say from a Mk 5 Cortina. However, I would ask why?
