Are you planning an engine swop?

no planning to get a new speedo unit and the company that make them say they have tested them on the ST 1.6 and 1.4 but never tried it on a 1.25

so just wondered if the ECU's are the same, and they asked me to find as much info as i can on the ECU unit

any ideas???

can anyone shine any light on this please???

The PCM is located to the left of the battery under a piece of black plastic if that helps?

Can you get a deal with the company that you can send it back if not right, and get discount for being first if it does work?

i have looked everywhere around the battery but cannot find this sticker had the battery + tray and alot more out to find it, but no luck, Ford want me to pay for them to use a Diagnostics machine to get the info off the ecu £50 for 5min job get out.

and no they said they 'wont accept my payment or order until they have the details of my ecu and they have checked it out to make sure it doesnt effect their product beyond repair' their words.

:(

What is the exact details of your ECU do they need, exactly? - could a code reader or F- super find these details, or ETIS? there are plates all over the car and a sticker on the engine (often on the cam cover)

in their words

they need the:

various part numbers associated with the ECU

manufacture

anything that can identify the hardware that the ECU is running

thats it, either a picture or a list of it all they need but i have looked everywhere and my guess if its a sticker its come off

If you can upload a photo of your engine bay I can try and point out the PCM (Powertrain Control Module)

Excuse the poor drawing. The PCM (which has a sticker on it) is located under the cover I've circled in red. Pull the cover off (just unclips) in the directions of arrows.

Bit hard to see sticker, you'll need a torch.
