Flywheel

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have a ford fiesta 1.4 tdci 02 plate, and the flywheel is just about to go, I need to know if it's a dual mass model or not.

Thanks.

duno, but what do you mean its about to go?

It's making a sound like it's hitting something so it could pretty much damage the clutch or worse at any moment and I'm just about to get rid of it.

Plus I've confirmed it's a dual mass flywheel model.

I thought it might be - thats why it makes a noise - solid flywheels tend to be reliable

how do you know its the flywheel and not the clutch?

The clutch is slipping a bit so I'm also getting it replaced, but I'm 80% sure it's the flywheel. These dual mass models are known to fail.
