Help! Bee-Sting Aerial

Hello, I have recently bought a bee-sting aerial for my Mk 6 fiesta and it has came with the different size threads to fit the aerial. My question however is how do you remove the original thread from the aerial base. I have tried unscrewing it but didn't want to use too much force incase I broke it. Can anyone help?

    Try removing the threaded part from the new aerial and screw onto the original base.
