I was wondering if anybody could advise me on how to remove the interior boot plastics?

i presume you mean a mk7 ??

first remove the parcel shelf as it just gets in the way

there is a one bolt either side holding a black panel in place, remove this and the rest will pop off with a little force, i used some trim removal tools for the extra leverage but im sure if your careful you can do this fine without them.

why do you want these panels off??

if you want to get to the rear of the lights, you pull the carpet down, reach round with your hand and there is a plastic wing nut holding the light inplace, undo this DO NOT drop this its a pig to remove the rear end to find it again -.- then undo the two bolts holding the light in place on the front and they pop out easy as.
