Fuel Tank Help

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have rencently sold my sport jet ski, but i have around 70litres of racing grade unleaded fuel, i have contacted ford and they say that the fuel will be fine in my car,

here is the problem i open the cap and there is a non return valve in the stem of the neck for the fuel tank, how the hell do i open it to pour my fuel in???

i know it has the special stem which only an unleaded nossel from a garge will open it but can i open it with a normal 5litre petrol can???

does anyone know?? beacuse this would be a problem if you ran out and could only fill up using a spare can

thx

Your car should have come with a special funnel to open the "easy fuel system" valve, which is basically the same size as the pump nozzle for the fuel your car takes.

If not you will need to get one:

Check the spare wheel compartment under the boot carpet. You may find you already have one stored there.
