Fan Wont Turn Off Help

Featured Replies

The fan on my 07 zetec s wouldnt turn off after turning the engine off, i've checked the oil, water and the thermostat which are all fine. the only way i manage to get the fan off was by disconnecting my battery.

Can anybody tell me whats the problem and how to fix it?

I had this very same problem in my 08 plate mk6.5 a few weeks ago, turned out it was a sticking/faulty cooling fan relay. Swapped it for new one and all is now back to normal.

doesnt it turn off completley? on my 03 fiesta it stays on after switiching of the engine for a while, then cools it down but switchs it off, if yours dosent do this then it may be a faulty fan?
