Was anyone else offered the 6 month courtesy check when purchasing a new car?

I have had my Fiesta for coming up to 6 months now and want to take advantage of the offer, however when I called them I was told I didn't need to book it in as they work on a a first come first served basis - which makes me think all they do is lift the bonnet and have a quick look before saying all is ok.

What do you think?

I didn't get one. Some dealers do 1,500 mile checks, some 6 months, but you're right about them just giving it a quick once over.

Personally, I'd say if you've not had any issues just wait until your 12month/12,500 mile service.

They don't do a fat lot on a service, so I cant se them doing a lot on a six month check, I don't think I would bother if they had offered me one but they didn't so I wont!!!!!!

I took mine in at 3 months. It isn't much more than a visual check but I felt it meant if a warranty claim came up it could help my case. Showing care for the car and giving them an early opportunity to pick up issues etc.

My thought aswell! apart from mines at 1500 k :)

I was offered a check at three months have,nt done it yet ( only had it just over a month ) but I will take it in as I need to find a dealer anyway.

I was offered a 1500 or 3 month check whichever I wanted to do
