Car Wont Move

Featured Replies

Rite people me dads just got back off his jollies and his 2008 mk2.5 wont budge after taking the handbrake off front wheels seem to have movement but back wheels are staying put anyone help cheers

If he has drum brakes, it sounds like the shoes have seized. has he tried rocking the car back and forth with a bit of throttle in 1st and reverse? that should loosen the grip and brake any rust etc that may have temporarily bonded the shoes to the drum?

If that fails remove wheels one at a time and tap drum with a soft faced mallet and if you've gone that far to free up might as well take drum off to clean out.
