Fusion Steering Rack

Featured Replies

Hi all, hoping to shed some light on this. Wanting to know if the fusion has the same power steering rack as the Fiesta of same year. It's a 2004 tdci, and prices seem to vary wildly (up to, apparently, £900 from a Ford dealer  ) That's the next job after todays service (oil, air, fuel filter, oil). Bit of a pig to get at the fuel filter but taking the airbox off helped. With regards the rack it was an advisory last year and needs topping up every couple of months or so. Will try some of that stop leak stuff for power steering, but also figure if the car will be kept for any length of time best do it and get it out of the way.

Is it straightforward or need special Ford part 87875(&6765)5$£%^& and hands the size of a 2 year old, with the dexterity of a lizard?
