Does The Mk2 2.0 Tdci Have Fuel Pump

Featured Replies

As above just curious really as when you change the fuel filter sometimes you need to prime filter housing to get engine started again, so just wondering cheers chaps

All cars have a fuel pump, but if your asking does it have a manual priming pump, I dont believe it does. You would need to fill the filter with diesel to the brim in order to prime it effectively, it will help to start the car.

Cheers for that thats what threw me cos you have to manually prime it

manually priming often means making sure there is little to no air in the system and just trying to start the car over and over until it goes! then bleeding the system a little to let some more air out then trying again!

Bleeding a diesel is a nightmare!
