Found This Ucds Ecu Remaping, what You Think:

Featured Replies

Hello!

just navigating to internet for any remap of my ecu i thought i would buy a tool that remaps or reprograms ecu so i could do it my self, but they came for a very high cost like 800 euros and more so i cant,so i found this like about a chip tuning tool called UCDS chek this

http://www.ucdsys.ru/?page_id=115〈=en

what do you think?worth it?anyone tryed it?i am looking for other remaping methods too im gona open another topic called tuning kit. Thanks

With these remaps via UCDS you have to make sure they cover your Engine , as they have different versions in Russia. It is very tempting though to gain a remap for just ober £100 though

hmm to cover my engine, please can you explain me what you mean?thanks

They have slightly different variants , if your going to buy UCDS ask first on the website if the remap matches your engine.

yes yes they do i found my model on the list, did you see my other topic about a "tuning box" kit heard of them,is that better or worse what you think?what about BLUEFIN superchips?i realy need to choose one of this all options,i want a tool to delete DPF from ECU too,but i cant find any ,know any tool? Thanks

I don't know of any internet software to delete the DPF.

Bluefin tuning are meant to be pretty good. I have no knowledge of tuning i'm afraid , there are plenty on here that do though.

Yes the Superchips Bluefin is good, you get a handset that you can load the remap on yourself via the OBD2 port, it also acts as a code reader, here is the info for your car -

Can i getwith blue fin to my standart ECU program, i mean can i reinstall ECU basic program if it is needed, like Ford dealership do?thanks

I believe , with the Bluefin , you backup your original setup , and install the upgrade , you then can return to factory state via the handheld Bluefin , thats why it's so popular.

very good so far :) but does it already have a backup of ecu inside or i need to back up my ecu?how is it posible that ecu sometimes need reprograming from delership, how does it happend that it losses its program?any particular thing causes it?thanks

you plug the Bluefin in to the OBD port , make the selection to back up ECU , i think ! you then upload the Data to Bluefin , they then return to you the upgraded remap , you load the remap on the Bluefin , which also keeps you original setup , you then load the remap to your car.

You can then reset to original via the bluefin if you require to and then again redo the remap , so if you go for a service you can swap and change.

IT SOUNDS GOOD SO I HAVE A TOOL THAT I CAN REFORMAT MY CAR WHENEVER I WANT WITHOUT SPENDING 200 EUROS FOR REPROGRAMING TO dealership :) THAT PRETTY GOOD,ANY LINK FOR THIS BLUE FIN FOR FOCUS 2.0 TDCI?THANKS

On a "regular" remap, you pay for the remapper to modify the original map, that is what goes on the car, so if you take the car to the dealarship for a service and they update the ECU, the remap/ performance map can be over-written and therefore "lost"

Because you can "swop" your Bluefin remap round with the stock map at any time yourself using your handset , you can take your Bluefin performance (re)Map before putting your car in for a service or MOT etc, it can also be useful for "restricting" the car / reducing the cars power for other reasons, like if there is snow/ ice on the ground, or you are lending your car to the wife or putting it in for repair, valet, etc

Superchips (the people that sell the Bluefin product) can keep a copy of your original, factory map on their server, it can be uploaded/ downloaded using the handset (for upto a year after buying the product, as far as i am aware)

From the date you buy a Bluefin, Superchips can transfer the device onto another car free-of-charge (if you buy another car) - (it may have to be the same make) - they will also work on your map, modify it if you are unhappy with it/ produce new maps (one at a time) upto a year after the Bluefin is sold froim new

I purchased a Bluefin for my Mondeo, i had been running a DTUK tuning box which i removed when i loaded the Bluefin,(that had the "regular" map for my car on it) the Bluefin increased the tiop-end power but the bottom end grunt was a lot less than my tuning box had been - i contacted Superchips, told them about my mods etc, and they asked me to upload my stock map over the interweb using the Bluefin handset for them to work on, i uploaded onto the handset, then onto the car, it was a bit better but still as not mutch grunt as the tuning box

I spoke to them again and they explained if the map "reduced" power at low revs so that there was not too much smoke, (i believe it is also to reduce the power/ or follow the stock power/ torque curves to protect the DMF/ clutch- not a problem i have with my beefed-up transmission) i told them i was not bothered about that - "no smoke no poke" (the tuning box had been set up for maximum acceleration through a lot of testing) -

Superchips modified the map again, this 3rd map had almost as much grunt as the tuning box at low revs, but with more midrange and "top end" (or what passes for "top end" revs on the diesel) the car smokes a bit when i start it up, and when i "boot" it, but not too bad, and of course i can switch back to the stock map for the MOT

The car really flies now with some impressive acceleration times (of course there is a lot of additional modifications as well)

Apart from using the Bluefin and the work they did (they were very patient/ helpful for me) i have no connection to Superchips

That is a very interesting proposition - so 1st you get the the DPF phisically and electronically deleted, then you buy a Bluefin from Superchips, and when you upload your "original" map it will have your DPF delete on it, so if youn get Superchips to work on it, it should come back with the Superchips remap AND the (electronic) DPF delete - so you would have all the advantages of the Superchips Bluefin and have the DPF delete as well - you would have to talk to Superchips about this

The disadvantage is you would have to pay someone else for the electronic DPF delete, and Superchips for the remap, an alternative is to go to a remapper that could do both for a lower price, you would not have the handset and be able to swap back for your stock map, but some remappers will keep a copy of your map in case it is deleted, some remmappers can do a phisical/ electronic DPF delete, a remap, and a stainless steel "sports" exhaust, all at once and often at a lower price than getting all these things from different places
