Replace Bonnet Flip Badge

How easy is it to replace the flip badge on the front of a mk2.5 as some little cheeky bar steward ripped mine off through the night :@

Easy enough mate,

Remove the grill,

And you will see a black plastic screw on the rear,

Its got a spring inside the screw,

Undo the screw,

Take out the spring,

Lift out the remains of the badge

Fit new badge, locating the spring tips in to the holes again,

Gently screw down

Put grill back on

Ensuring the bonnet lock is pushed well in to the grill,

Aswell as not pulled out from the latch,

40 minute job first time doing it,

25 minute job once you've done it before,

I had to take mine off when changing to zetecS grill

No worrys

Once the lock is clipped back in to the grill,

And its not pulled out from the latch mechanism you should be fine mate,

On the other hand,

If you leave the lock exposed on the front with no badge,

Road grit and salt will get in and solidify the lock inside mate,

You will need a badge on it,

And take your time, should be fine.

You could always get a price from ford to fit,

Then if it went wrong its there problem,
