Child For Lock Broken

Just bought a car from independent garage and have since found some little things wrong with it which they've fixed this weekend. But today I've noticed the rear child lock on one of the sites is broken and I've got 2 small kids. Should I get them to fix it? Is it s difficult job?

    I take it as read that you mean that when you turn the child lock screw with your key tip the lock does not engage?

    It may well need a new lock as the child lock is integral to the unit.

    It is a safety device so tbh they should fix it or at least subsidise the cost of a replacement unit and fitting.
