Focus Titanium X 2012 Bi-Xenon Headlights

Featured Replies

Hello all

I have a 2012 Focus titanium 'X', i have noticed more and more that at night i get flashed a lot, presuming this is because my lights are too bright and people think the full beam is on, i did previously have a 61 plate focus titanium which had an adjuster on the light control on the panel next to the steering wheel (to adjust level settings), on my new ford there is no adjuster, i presume this is because the new focus has automatic headlights (bi-xenon headlights).

Does anyone know why i am having this problem and should they automatically adjust?

Many thanks

Dan

Hi Dan you may find that your headlights need to be aligned, they can be knocked out of alignment by potholes, speed bumps etc. You'll probably find one or both of your headlight beams is pointing too high or too low, also with them being bixenon headlights they are as much as 300% brighter than standard headlights so this may be all it is. Best thing to do is take the car to a garage and get them to check you're beam alignment

I had one new in2012,now belongs to my daughter. I agree they may need to be aligned.

One headlight on car is codensated. Ford want over £1000 for unit.not including fitting.

Local garage tried to get one and the dont recognise  number on light and say its probably  not

Continued  XENON lights

Does anyone know serial number

Thanks
