Hi,

I'm trying to research a car the was converted / developed by Crayford for the ford motor company.

Two cars were converted for comparison tests with the twin cam lotus engined escort. Both car's were fitted with the essex v6, from the Zephyr/Zodiac. One car was fitted with carb's, the other fitted with fuel injection.

Does anyone have any further information on these cars? i.e. the history, etc..

Any help you would be able to give me would be greatly appreciated, as I have hit a dead end on this subject.

    i have just come accross your request for information on the crayford elimentor, and it so happens i own one of the 2 that was made, and i have a booklet of the car in in 1969 when it was road tested against the twin cam escort, and my car is the one that they used and i also have the booklet the test reports, the book is called high performance escorts, if you would like any more information, please feel free to email me, many thanks chrisie
