Front Wheel Bearings

hi ' new to forum just bought focus 1.6 zetec 2005 with 84000 on the clock ' came with service history' however I'm now questioning that. To the point cam belt replacement when and how much should I pay ' think also front wheel bearings are noisy' any body know average cost for this repair .

paid £2300.00 for this car Good/bad ? comment please.

I wouldnt be leaving the cambelt much longer ford say 10 years or 100k miles many go well before then you need a cambelt kit done tensioner and belt average costs differ but up to £350 some places can do it around £200 but its cheaper than a knackered engine

Wheel bearings are common fault and again prices depend on youre area £100-180 supplied and fitted usually ring round a few garages and get qoutes just make sure its a cambelt kit and not just a new belt

£2300 is a bit cheap but without knowing the spec and condition its average ide say for a private sale if it was from a garage take it back to them to get the bearings done

thank you artscot79 for taking the time to reply' managed to source new wheel bearing locally £30.00 + £50/60 to fit not to unhappy with cost' cambelt and water pump/tensioner cost £250.00 again not to unhappy' going to get work done. cheers to everyone using the forum

Not a bad price for that as i said prices vary wildly but thats a good price
