Help Please 2011 Focus

Featured Replies

hello i have a 2011 focus 1.6 tdci sport

it kangaroos, happens randomly can go couple of days without then couple of days with, feels like it wants to stall, has happened it all gears while at a steady speed or building up speed. i have taken it to ford pilgrims they have plugged it in and no fault showing.

they have serviced it and changed fuel filter no change still doing it.

was hoping somebody else has had this issue and sorted it.

any help will be very much appreciated as i am getting to get end of my tether and thinking about changing car. it is still under manufacture warranty but they say they can't fix something that isn't showing up? HELP ME PLEASE.

Hi Jade,

Could be anything from a mucky air filter upwards.

When was the car last serviced, and whats the mileage? I presume its a MK 2.5 (last of the old shape?) or is it a new shape?

its the mk2, was serviced around 2 or 3 weeks ago, 25k miles

MK 2 or MK 2.5?

When they serviced it, how was it serviced (oil and oil filter alone can be considered a service!) so my concern on the air filter and the fuel filter are still present.

As its diesel, it could be something to do with the air intake of the turbo through the intercooler pipe. Have you checked all the hoses and pipes to ensure that there are no splits or cracks?
