Focus Zetec S Noob

Featured Replies

Hi all from a new 2010 Focus Zetec S 1.6 owner. Had the car for about 2 weeks now. It's my first Ford and I came from and 2004 Derv Corsa which I, so as you can imagine it's a bit of an upgrade for me.

Seems like the modding potential of the focus is pretty good although looks wise it already has it out of the box. Here's my plans....

Done:

Lockwood Stainless Steel Scuff Plates

Genuine Ford Rubber Mats

Rubber Boot Liner

Waterproof Seat Covers

Partial Debadge

Switched some stuff on etc in ELMconfig

Very Soon:

Add footwell lights (Not one of the lucky ones that have the bulb holders so need to make a loom)

All Interior bulbs convert to LEDs

Full detailing

DMB badge overlays (still trying to decide colour)

Future:

Custom tailpipe for exhaust (the splitter is crying out for it)

Wheel colour change to white

Possible 30mm lowering

Mudflaps

Led bulbs for rear lights

Replace cheapo rear off side tyre that makes a load of road noise lol

fix a creak from the drivers door card

So far I like everything apart from a few niggles that I will get used to (no auto up on driver window only down??, No global window closing when you lock car due to it having manual windows in the back).

Hi James and welcome to the club. Great photo of your zetec S there. Be sure to update us when you have completed your mods :)

Oh and why not add your photo shopped pic to our gallery section?

Cheers for the welcome, Photo uploaded to the Gallery.

Welcome to the family! and may I say congratulations on ditching the corsa, and welcome to the cool side ;)

I wont even ask how the Focus compares, I know the answer ;)

A nice list of mods you have done and got lined up there! I am impressed that for such little time of ownership you dove straight in with ELM config!

Cheers, Well got the modified elm box to try and enable global closing on windows, but it didn't work and of course researched even more and found it doesn't work on cars with manual rear windows, I would have got one soon anyway they are a must in my opinon for 20 qiid

definately! as long as your not being daft with it, then there's no reason it cant or wont work!

Hi welcome :)
