Ford Fiesta 2010 Will Not Open Boot When Doors Are Opened With The Remote

Featured Replies

I have a Zetec 2010 when you operate the remote control to open the doors the boot does not unlock. I can only open the boot with the boot unlock button on the remote by pressing twice, pressing the open door button on the remote used to open the boot also.

That will be the boot switch itself. It is between the number plate lights.

It gets wet and corrodes the contacts.

Common issue.

This is an example of what you need.

I got mine from a local Ford dealer but can't remember how much I paid.

Alternatively swing to the CMAX section and look at the conversation about fixing the switch, did this myself and cost less than a tenner all in, if I had the tools already, would have cost me less than a fiver!
