Hi all, just picked up my focus zetec s so thought id kick off with a photo. I will be looking to sensibly modify it and any thoughts from people would be welcome

Looks like a great car! When the weather is like it is at the minute I do kind of wish I'd gone for a Focus instead of an Escort Cab...

I really do like the subtle styling cues on the Zetec S, I wouldn't mess with the bodywork too much! Painted calipers, blacked out grills, tinted lights etc. all look wicked on the newer Focus and Mondeos!

Then you can start messing under the bonnet, maybe lower her a little? Just my suggestions! :D

The callipers are yellow already but do need another go over, tinted lights is a nice idea. I do love the car. Never had or heard of anything about focus' but I fell in love with it immediately

I too never really paid the focus much attention found it a bit boring - until I saw the S.

Yeah it was always just a car to me, nothing special. But clearly I knew nothing about them. I pulled up to a dealership by coincidence and loved it from the second I saw it. Next day it was in my name!!

Yeah of course it would work and the main thing is YOU like the look of it. I was trying to decide which colour i should have but ended up not bothering, as the combination I want they don't do!

I'll probably end up going for that cheers! I like the colour of yours as it is, matches the car and blends in. But I must say you are an absolute genius making that 's' clip for your grille. I was desperately trying to find one but will resort to creating my own too!

Cheers, I thought that about the standard ford badge in the end. As for the S grill badge I'm pretty happy (proud? ) with that little cheap mod. Creating your own is the only way forward with a S grill badge I'm afraid, I've searched extensively and can only find ST ones. My advice would be to look for a bracket for a different badge/make and then customise it to fit. I was going to offer someone the other half of the irmscher bracket I butchered, but I cut it a bit too small unfortunately.

Its a very impressive little feat that! Im going to try and cobble something together and hope we have one of those little clips!

Bit favouritist that they do st ones but not s ones. I think a petition to ford is in need!

Looks like a great motor and there is plenty that you can do!

Footwell, ambient and ignition barrell lighting are a great start, uprated bulbs all over the place. LED bulbs in the cabin.

As for other mods, simple things like scuttle plates, and perhaps stripes on the side of the car (subtle, not the silly go faster ones :p)

Painted Plastics are a good place to go as well.
