Hi everyone

First of all would just like to hello as I'm just new to this site. My mate told me about it and I love my cars so thought i would give it a go.

I had a bit of an experience with my Ford Focus 1.6TDCI last week.

I have had my car for 3 years now and have NEVER had a problem. I was driving home from university last week down the motor way when smoke started belching from bonnet, the car lost all power and there was a strange wanging noise coming from it! Like i said I love cars and knew straight away the turbo had failed. So after a crap day at uni i had to get my mate come tow me home and go do some research on turbos. Me being a student I was looking for a bargain lol so came across this website which sells re conditioned turbos and have a 12 month warranty http://turbostore.co.uk/index.html

got on the phone to them they had what I needed and my turbo was with me 2 days later. Car is now driving better than ever :)

Guess I should say thanks to my mate for putting it in for me and thanks to Turbo Store!

Alright guys cheers for all the welcomes :)

James the new turbo was £400. I was advised not to go for the re conditioned one because of the problems thses turbos give so just got a new one. Then my mate is a mechanic so he replaced it for me and done other the work on it like replace oil feed pipes, clean the oild breathing system, washed out the sump and put in new oil and oil filter etc and because hes my mate he didnt charge me too much but said it would have normally cost around £200 to get all that done.
