Urgent - Cannot Close Door

I have an urgent problem in that I am unable to close my Focus door. The door mechanism is in the closed position so it just knocks on the latch on the frame. Is there anything I can do to free it to enable me close the door?

    I've managed to close it after a bit of trial and error, but it doesn't actually lock shut... looks like a trip to the main dealer tomorrow as it's only 6 months old. At least the alarm is on.

    Park it agents a wall where its impossible to get at the door,

    Then climbe across to passenger side and get out,

    Could be a loose connection plug inside the door

    This is what you do. Hold the inside door
    handle like you are opening the door. Take the screwdriver and place in
    the center of latch and pull out this frees it but the locks likely faulty so the best way to do it is as lenny said park the drivers side close to a wall and get out pass side woman down the roads did the same but pass side ford had to put a new lock in
