Engine makes a vibration noise every few seconds when idling, its on and off, could this be the end of the DMF?

Havent noticed any other issues, its starts fine and havent noticed any problems with the clutch.

Video of the noise uploaded to youtube here -

I dont think its the DMF, but dont quote me on that. Several people say, while the engine is idling, press and relese the clutch, idf the DMF is going there is often difference in noise.

It may be something like the egr opening and closing slightly, effecting the mixture entering the engine causing slight differences in engine tone and vibration, but not sure.

Mines a 2.0 tdci 06 estate and sound very similar to that, with one or two extra rattles and squeels.

If its running fine and noise clutch issues I wouldnt worry.

Have you been able to check for any error codes?

it could be the aux belt tensioner, is there any sign of the tensioner or belt bouncing ? does the noise stop at 1000 revs?

Noise tends to go away when car is moving and above 1000 revs, thought it could be belt but seems to be fine when you have a look.

Noise doesnt change when clutch is depressed so hopefully its not the DMF.

Thanks for the responses folks.
