david295
Today I bought oil, Castrol Magnatec , now the friend I have that does my car work as i no longer can be arsed myself, told me I should not use Castrol magnatec, as it leaks and causes problems for the engine and he said take it back and swap it for valvoline or Mobil. Now I do not believe what he says about magnatec is there any truth in what he says about magnatec. I do know it has whatever oil fords use when they do a service, am i best to stick to this, saves mixing oil that is left in car with magnatec. Stoney871
Ford use and recommend Manatec. Creating an oil that causes leaks would be a tad counter-productive.
Jake90087
As long as it meets Ford's requirements it's perfectly fine. I use Mobil1 Super3000 and works for me, but any fully synthetic oil of the correct weight is perfectly fine. He may be confusing synthetic and non synthetic oil, but that's a whole different chapter.
