Front Suspension Creak

Hello,

Ive got a Ford focus 2011 Titanium 1.6 petrol. When I go over speed bumps I

get this creaking noise coming from the front end from the suspension?

Can anyone advise to a solution to this problem?

Hi Chris,

It could be a cracked spring,

Jack up the car on level concrete or tarmac.

Remove the wheel,

Clean the spring and inspect for signs of cracks or breaks,

When it makes noise its generally the spring has broken on the clamp joint,

Resulting in the but of the spring rubbing off the shock base plate.

Because its snapped from the clamp,

Happened one of my standard rear springs,

I've since upgrade to eibahs so I've got two front and one red diesel springs if they fit the petrol variant and you end up needing a spring I'll supply all 3 for the cost of postage if they are any use to you mate.
