my fiesta has developed a misfire and a smell of burning as well as the engine warning light iv'e checked the electrical side and there's a spark on all 4 it seems to get worse as you rev it and I seem to be losing fluid from the exhaust im not sure if that's unburnt fuel can anyone help I have a basic knowledge of motors but I fear it could be the headgasket

    easiest way to test for head gasket/mechanical problem is to do a compression test

    compression testers are relatively cheap and readily available if you wanted to check the compression yourself...if you can remove the plugs, you are more than capable of doing a compression test...can run you through it if tester doesnt come with instructions

    common fault with the endura was tendency to drop the valve seats,

    my girlfriends fiesta was misfiring so i serviced it but it wasn't that so i went for the cheapest option to replace which was the ht leads and its been fine ever since
