Strange Noise From Aircon?

Featured Replies

I've got a 2009 mk7 zetec. When I turn the aircon on it makes a like "ttpppft" noise, then when I turn it off it makes a "ttpooft" sorta noise. It's never don't it before? :S any ideas what it could be? I'll try get a video of the noise

Possibly getting to the point where it needs recharged? Although I'm sure most airco do start making funny ticking noises

Sent from my Sony Xperia Z1 using Ford OC mobile app

I had the same thing with my fiesta after a friend managed to drive it into the back of another fiesta. It's was usually only on the 3rd fan speed though

Apparently there was nothing the mechanic could do and as of late it has just disappeared... Could just be a waiting thing or recharge as said above

I get a clicking noise from mine too, happens every 30 mins when it is on.

I don't use it that much so I guess that could be why but my friend has the same car as my made 2 weeks before my fiesta and makes the ticking noise too so its either normal or it needs to be recharged. may get that done soon tho just to be sure.
