Portable Music Connection Socket-Where?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have recently purchased a 2006 1.6 TDCi Ghia Ford Fiesta. The specification listed a "portable music connection socket" as one of the features. I assume this would be an auxilary connection point somewhere. I have searched high and low for it, around the dashboard, in the glovebox but cannot find it.

Do all of the Ghia models from this era have such a socket or am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I have looked there but all I have is the cigarette lighter connection. Does this count as the "portable music connection socket" or should there be something else?

Thanks.

It would look like this-

You can but a kit from Ford or off eBay Finis number 1426121 -

Full instructions come with the kit, you just need tools to pull the radio forward and a hole cutter.

This is what it should look like

Mine didn't have it but I just got the Ford dealership to install one - best investment I ever made

Thanks for the advice. I didn't want to have to rely on one of this FM Tuners to play my Ipod. I'll probably go direct to Ford.

Many thanks.
