Reverse Bulb Ugrade

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a reverse light upgrade bulb? Looking for something a bit brighter!

Also, does anyone now if there is a usable powerbulbs discount code?

Many thanks

Thanks

Sent from my GT-N7100 using Ford OC mobile app

The existing reversing light bulb is the legal maximum, ie. 21 Watts.

Legal maximum means nothing with the new led bulbs nowadays. 5W led will blow a 21 W incandescent bulb out of sight.

is there just 1 reverse bulb in the mk7 fiesta?? and how many brake lights are there ? or normal red lights at the rear?

Cree nothing else touches them.

I was looking at getting these

Anyone think they will be ok?

You need 2 reverse 501's. You tail/stop bulb is a dual filament and you don't want your tail light too bright or folks will think you have your brakes on, just leave them be.

cheers and yh i did think about that ill get reverse only thanks bud

Don't pay £21 each though, mine cost £5 each but seller doesn't have any at the moment. Found these though which are same as mine

Thanks for the link, do you find the bulbs give a good spread of light? Some of those led's are like spotlights

I have tinted rear windows and would agree that they don't spread the light as much as standard bulbs. Some do come with SMD's on the side as well, like these

just they are more expensive.

David that is a serious upgrade, £40 for reverse lights, wow

And yet totally worth it :P I was going to see how they were for sidelights, needless to say anything with a retina went blind, so they went into the reversing lights :P

Almost worth putting in a switch to turn them on when you're being tailgated, or the idiot behind won't dip. -_-

Tail gated in the ST!!!!!? Your doing something wrong mate ;)

Just ordered some 501 cree jobbies and will also post some day / night shots :)

You can do it anyway, the gear stick switch activates as soon as the sensor detects the stick go over to reverse about 1/4 the distance before you're even near the gear engagement :P

I've not had that problem, but there are those who drive slower Fiestas here. :P :D
