willsmgb
Hi all, Quick question - I have a 2012 1.0 Ecoboost. It is very smooth/solid apart from speed bumps. Unless you crawl over them, the suspension makes a strange squeaking noise. It sounds almost like a rusty coil. I know the suspension in the focus is fairly complicated and this might be normal but wanted to check?! Thanks
Rossbclarke123
Mine does this, I think it has since picked up. If you think it's a concern pop into your local dealer as has manufacturer warranty.
artscot79
the ford focus has been plagued with the very complaint right from the mk1 i found if you get spray white grease and grease the rubber suspension parts it stops
willsmgb
Thanks both for the replies. It seems to only do this when the engine is cold (first mile or so). Once everything is up and running, it seems to settle down. I wondered if there was any link? i.e. - suspension warms up and stops squeaking? jeebowhite
sounds a probable answer to be honest!
