Monkey Paws
Hi everyone, I'm appealing for help in finding a roof air pressure pump for a Focus Cabriolet. The car belongs to my Father who is now in a care home, and I am having to sell his beloved car and home to pay the fees. I have been told by the garage that the roof air pressure pump to lift the roof up and down has gone, but they want £1,700 to buy a new one! The car is about 8 years old but with very low mileage and I have just had it serviced and resprayed to sell. I have tried local breakers, but none of them has a convertible in stock. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get one that is not a stupid price - I could buy a working car for that money! Thanks very much. mintalkin
these guys could help with the pump http://www.bba-reman.com/catalogue/DetailedProduct.aspx?DetailedProduct=2365 i always thought the pumps were hydrolic, its unusual for the pump to fail as its usually due to an oil leak or a faulty microswitch which causes the roof to fail.
