Replacing Central Locking Actuator On 2010 Fiesta

Featured Replies

Hi, despite scouring the web I am yet to find any threads on how to replace a central locking motor actuator on my driver's door.

PROBLEM: Driver's door not remotely locking on my 3 dr Fiesta.

Locks via the key, but doesn't work on the fob. I've tried the suggested method of holding both buttons for 4 secs and it still doesn't work. Started to strip the door down today and got as far as removing the window. However, I'm having difficulties in removing the black plastic panel that sits behing the door trim. I've undone all the bolts, but the panel appears to be attached by a plastic arm near the locking mechanism.

Does anyone on here know how to remove this panel from the door so that I can get access to the actuator motor?

So near, yet so far and so frustrating.

Thanks
