58 Plate 1.6 Petrol, Egr Valve?

Hi,

Just wondering if the 1.6 petrol (engine code HWDA or HWDB) has an EGR valve? I can't find a definitive answer.

I thought it odd that a petrol would have an EGR, I thought manufacturers may be fitting them to all fuel types to reduce emissions.

An auto electrician told me one was fitted to the 1.6 petrols, I was asking him advice as I have installed an LPG system and I am having problems with it cutting out on the over run (I may start a new thread about this issue).

The 1.8 and 2.0 petrols do have them. I know of other petrol cars that definitely have them too, I thought it odd when I heard it!

Yeah, EGR is becoming more popular on petrols also, as it helps to reduce the pollution further, and bankrupt the owner further, as well as bankroll the manufacturers further!

Its a win, lose, win situation!
