Hi, newby here, I'm sure you'll tell me where to look if it's been covered before, my question is can you tow a semi auto durashift without damage, or does it need to be lifted, ie driving wheels off the ground as full auto with torque converter,

I've read up on the forum about how to fix the problem but I've got to get the car home first.

    It's ok to tow flat for a couple of miles and below 30mph e.g. to clear a motorway but any faster and further will cause damage.

    You're better off using a lift tow where the drive wheels are off the road or put it on a full trailer.
