Remote Central Locking Problem

Featured Replies

I wonder if you could help me please. I have a 2005 fiesta 1.4lx, 5 door. It has remote central locking. When I lock the doors all the doors lock except for the drivers, I have to lock it with the key. When I use the remote central locking to unlock, it unlocks all the door. Do you have any ideas why the drivers door doesn't lock please? Thank you in advance.

check the wires in the door gaitor.

Thank you, is that easy to do?

:)

im sure there is a tutorial on here somewhere?best to read up on it.hth.

Sounds like its probably water ingress in the driver lock / solanoid, and the cold is playing havoc with it. Easiest way in is to remove the door card.
