Ford Focus 55 Plate 1.8 Tdci In Limp Mode With Code (P0670)

Featured Replies

hi there i have my ford focus 1.8 tdci on a 55 plate i do alot of motor way miles. the cars have 180.000 miles on it its been running fine up intill now when the powertrain malfunction light come on and went into limp mode. I put a code reader on it and it come up with the code P0670 Glow Plug Control Module Circuit Fault

What i would like to no is how do i fix this?

and is it a cheap fix and easy to do yourself?

Does the car misbehave at all?

I have a low voltage on mine and yet there are no issues at all, it could be the need for a new glow plug, or it might be the relay is corroded.

hi no it still starts ok runs fine in limp mode but i must admit the battery did seem like it went flat after i disconnected it for 10 mins to rest the ecu then it was fine again.

Start the car, and leave it to have a 20 minute run, that should charge the battery up. If the issue persists it could just be a bad connection on the glow plug.

i just put my code reader back on the car and it come up with another code P0490 what could this be its coming up a pending fault. and when i clear the codes as im doing it i rev the car and it will rev right up and get abit of black smoke and then go straight back into limp mode

Sounds EGR, I just saw you posted the other thread so will pop over there and leave comments, to keep the two seperate.
