2008 Focus With Standard Sony Head Unit

Featured Replies

I an struggling to find any where that can supply me with the correct part so that I can connect my ipod and control track through the head unit. Sorry if this info is covered by a different thread but I could not find it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Is the unit with mp3 & or dab radio?

You should have a aux in when you open glovebox lid its on edge where it closes a small 3.5mm jackplug

Yes there is a 3.5 Mill Jack plug but we want to control the ipod from the hifi and charge it too. It's not dab but it is a Sony unit.

You can't charge your ipod from it. You can only play audio from it. You will need a separate charge lead

A few people on here have hidden charge lead

Back to the centre storage area, but you will never have direct control of ipod from head unit.

This ended up doing my head in so I took mine out and replaced in the end with a bluetooth.sat nav head unit and now I have wireless audio control of music

What I want is something to plug into the back of the hifi that will link to an ipod and charge it. I have a similar set up in my mondeo. But am struggling to find anything for the focus.

I don't think there is an output on the rear of the head unit. Although it looks the same stereo as a mondeo, I actually think they are different.

So if I can get old of a standard Sony Sat navigation for this card I believe that they are bluetooth AND have a port in the back to add an ipod connector.

I fitted one of these, its an excellent bit of kit. They were selling them on ebay for around 200 quid, I bought mine off there around a year ago, really easy to fit. I was the same as you as wanted ipod charge and functionality through head unit, although now I use the bluetooth audio mode via my android phone which I prefer now.
