In Car Camera Power Supply

Featured Replies

I was wondering if anybody has any idea how to wire one of these things up permanently, so that the cables can be hidden. The problem is the thing can either be be powered by the battery or as i want by the supplied mini USB to aux power socket(Cigarette lighter). I don't want to see this permanently plugged in but hidden away and possibly add a switch to isolate it.

Anybody got any suggestions on anything that is on the market that could do this?

This is the sort of thing i'm talking about.

I brought a 12V aux socket , and attached to ignition live inside the glove box , i then ran the cables along the top of the screen and dow the side pillar , to the left of the glove box there is a small flat section perfect for attaching the 12v aux too.

Have a look in my Build diary you will see the added 12v aux i put in.
