I have a 2008 1.8 tdci focus, the head gasket has just blown (just over Christmas...great) I have been quoted £800 for it to be skimmed then assembled back together. It does seem a little steep in price considering its only the gasket thats gone (no damage to engine) is the price justifiable?

    Sounds about right to me. Son had to have his Saxo done a couple of years back and that was £600 from a guy who did lots of work for him.
