Hi, was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and enduring the lengthy wait for a new ST, i ordered the first week in January and have been given a 3-4 month wait which is soul destroying. General feedback suggests the wait will be worth it! Any ST owners have particularly long or short waits? Cheers :)

Does seem a long wait. I waited 6 weeks for mine. And yes, the wait is totally worth it.

I think Philf1 had a similar waiting time, he finally has it now, read his topic my new st to see how much he likes it!

Thanks for the replys lads, hopefully i'll have no set backs like that, the bloke at Ford said every unit at the time was already alocated, meaning my car would be a fresh build not even in the factory. With the optional extras i have he predicted a mid to late March delivery, but who knows anything can happen. He did mention that due to the large demand and shortage of units there might be a second line of ST opening in the factory, how true that is, I don't know. I'm just being impatient!

Patience is a virtue my friend. Having said that I didnt have a waiting time as such for mine, bought the showroom model was ready when I wanted it lol

Dannie as Daniel said I waited 4 months, granted with a 2 week Christmas shut down but now I have it I am made up the car is just awesome.Just make sure you order all extras early to make sure you get them I decided too late I wanted the folding mirrors and keyless entry and missed out not that bothered now but was a bit gutted when the dealer told me I was too late.

What colour and extras are you having?

Was debating the sat nav but thought i wouldn't use it enough for the £400 price tag!

a bit of an audiophile, on my test drive i didn't really turn up the
head unit much, any comments on the speaker quality? Any good for a
standard set up?

Good colour choice, blue is definitely the best in my opinion. I didn't go for the cruise as I don't do many long motorway journeys, apart from this week when I'm going down to Santa Pod.

As for the stereo you get the Sony dab unit which is pretty good, I also have my iPhone hooked up via the usb for my favourite tunes. Speakers are pretty good as is the tone. If you're really choosy I guess you would say they could be improved but I'm happy enough. Anyway you wont have the stereo on for a while as the engine and exhaust are all you'll want to listen to!
